Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Stride Labs Ltd. for using the hosted Stride service and website.

Last updated 17 October 2026

01The agreement

These Terms govern your access to and use of Stride, the website, the admin console, the member portal, work tracking and company email provided by Stride Labs Ltd. ("we", "us"). By creating an account, signing in or using the service you agree to them.

If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are allowed to bind it, and "you" means that organization. If your organization already has a signed agreement or order form with us, that document prevails where it conflicts with these Terms.

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.

02The service

Stride gives an organization a workspace with an admin console (people, teams, roles and permissions, leave, audit logs, settings), a member portal for its employees, work tracking (projects, issues and sprints), and optionally mailboxes on the organization's own email domain. Features depend on the plan and may change as the product evolves.

Some areas of the product may be labelled as previews. Previews are provided as is, may use sample data, and may change or be removed without notice.

03Accounts and security

  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account, and for the people your organization invites.
  • Choose a strong password and follow your organization's security policies.
  • Tell us at [email protected] straight away if you suspect unauthorized access.

An organization's owner and administrators control its workspace: who has access, what roles they hold, and what happens to their data. They can see audit records of actions taken in the admin console.

04Your organization's data

The information you and your organization put into Stride ("Customer Data") remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, transmit and display it solely to provide and secure the service and as these Terms and our Privacy Policy describe.

  • You are responsible for the lawfulness of Customer Data and for having the right to use it, including a legal basis and any required notices for the employee information you enter.
  • You are responsible for configuring roles and permissions so people see only what they should.
  • You can export your data while your account is active, and we will delete it after the account ends as described below.

Where we process personal information on your behalf, our Privacy Policy and, on request, a data processing agreement apply.

05Acceptable use

You agree not to, and not to let anyone else:

  • break the law, infringe others' rights or upload content you have no right to use;
  • attempt to access another organization's data, probe or test the security of the service without our written permission, or bypass its access controls or rate limits;
  • upload malware, or interfere with or overload the service;
  • use the service to send spam, phishing or unsolicited bulk email, or to harass anyone;
  • reverse engineer or resell the hosted service except as the open-source licence permits or as we agree in writing;
  • use the service to build a competing product by copying its non-open-source materials.

We may investigate suspected violations and remove content or suspend access where needed to protect the service or other people.

06Company email and domains

If you connect an email domain, you confirm you own or control it and may publish the DNS records we ask for (ownership, MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC). Mail sent from your domain must comply with applicable law and the acceptable-use rules above.

We may limit sending, quarantine messages or suspend a domain that causes spam complaints, blocklisting or other harm to our infrastructure or reputation. Email delivery depends on third parties and recipients' servers, so we cannot guarantee every message is delivered.

07Plans, trials and payment

  • Free trials last for the period shown when you start them. Unless you add payment details and choose a plan, the trial ends and the workspace may be limited or deleted.
  • Paid plans are billed in advance for the period you choose, in the currency shown at purchase. Fees are non-refundable except where the law or an order form says otherwise, and exclude taxes, which you must pay.
  • We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days' notice.
  • Enterprise plans are governed by the order form you sign with us, which may include service levels and security commitments.

If a payment fails we may suspend the paid features after giving you notice.

08Our intellectual property and open source

Stride Labs Ltd. and its licensors own the Stride name, logo, brand and the hosted service. The Stride source code is published under the GNU Affero General Public Licence v3.0 (AGPL-3.0); your right to use, modify and run that code on your own infrastructure is defined by that licence, not by these Terms. These Terms govern the hosted service and the website.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or payment.

09Third-party services

The service relies on and may link to third-party services, such as email delivery providers and infrastructure hosts. Their terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for services we do not control.

10Availability and support

We work to keep the service available and to fix problems promptly, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend the service for maintenance, security or reasons outside our control, and we will try to give notice for planned work.

Support is available at [email protected]. Response commitments, if any, are in your plan or order form.

11Suspension and termination

  • You can stop using the service or close your workspace at any time.
  • We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these Terms and do not fix it after notice, if you do not pay, if required by law, or if your use poses a security risk. Where practical we will warn you first.
  • After termination you can request an export for a reasonable period. After that we delete or anonymize Customer Data, except what the law requires us to keep and what remains in backups until they expire.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law) will survive.

12Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Stride is a tool to help you manage people and work. It is not legal, tax or employment advice, and you remain responsible for your employment decisions and for complying with the laws that apply to you.

13Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising out of these Terms.

Our total liability for all claims arising out of the service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for it in that period (or, if you use a free plan, 100 euros).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

14Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your Customer Data or your breach of these Terms or applicable law, and cover resulting costs and damages that a court awards or that are agreed in a settlement we approve.

15Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with a new date, and for material changes we will give administrators at least 30 days' notice by email or in the product. If you keep using the service after the change takes effect, you accept the new Terms; if you do not agree, you can close your workspace before then.

16Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek urgent relief to protect its intellectual property or confidential information in any competent court. Mandatory consumer rights where you live are not affected.

Please contact us first at the address below; most issues can be settled informally.
